About This Place

Nestled in the heart of Detroit, Niki's Pizza is a vibrant restaurant that masterfully blends classic Detroit-style pizza with authentic Greek flavors, creating a one-of-a-kind dining experience. This unassuming gem at 735 Beaubien serves up much more than just pizza — it’s a culinary celebration where bold Mediterranean ingredients meet the satisfying, cheesy crunch of Detroit’s iconic pies.

Step inside, and you’ll immediately sense the warm, inviting atmosphere where friendly staff greet you like family. The ambiance blends casual comfort with a hint of lively charm, perfect for anything from a quick slice before a Tigers game to a relaxed evening savoring handcrafted dishes.

The menu is a flavorful journey that delivers on both tradition and innovation. At the heart of their offerings is the famous Pepperoni Pizza Large, boasting a perfectly caramelized crust and rich, tangy sauce layered beneath a generous blanket of cheese and spicy pepperoni slices that dance on your palate. Equally irresistible is the Detroit Pizza itself, characterized by its square shape, thick but airy dough, and that much-coveted crispy edge which local connoisseurs rave about. The Meat Lover's Pizza Large promises hearty satisfaction, loaded with savory meats that meld beautifully with the gooey cheese and vibrant tomato base.

Beyond pizza, Niki’s offers an enticing range of appetizers and Greek specialties that elevate the dining experience. Imagine the Opa! Saganaki, melted cheese flambéed with brandy, presented alongside warm slices of traditional Greek bread — a dish that crackles with flavor and festive spirit. The Octopus Salad brings tender, marinated baby octopus kissed with oregano and vinegar, offering a fresh, briny complement to the richer dishes. Not to be missed is the Spinach Pie with Rice, where flaky filo enwraps a savory blend of spinach, feta, and onions, paired elegantly with rice pilaf for a truly authentic taste.

For those craving something beyond pizza, the menu also features delightful dishes like Grilled Chicken Salad, BBQ Chicken Pizza Large, and the ever-popular Feta Cheese Pizza that adds a tangy Mediterranean twist. Appetizers like Fried Mushrooms and Jalapeno Poppers give an extra kick to the meal, making every bite a vibrant experience.

What truly sets Niki’s Pizza apart is not just the remarkable food, but the heartfelt service that guests consistently praise. From attentive staff like Taylor and Alecia, whose genuine kindness turns a simple meal into an unforgettable memory, to the overall welcoming vibe, the restaurant feels like a true community treasure. As one guest shared, the pizza surprises with its "perfect corner crunch" and "better dough, richer sauce, real cheese," evoking nostalgia yet standing confidently as one of the best Detroit-style pizzas around.

Whether you’re a local or just visiting Detroit, Niki’s Pizza invites you to taste timeless recipes elevated by passion and expertise. It is a place where every slice and every dish tells a story — a story of tradition, flavor, and genuine hospitality worth savoring again and again.

We were on our way to a Tigers game but we needed food. My wife's name is Niki, so we absolutely had to try Niki's Pizza. We got a Detroit style slice with pepperoni to go. It was shocking how good this pizza tasted. Niki's Pizza is criminally underrated and should be near the top of all pizza rankings. We went to another pizza place that 's highly recommended the next day, and Niki's topped it by a mile!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Best Detroit-Style Pizza I’ve Ever Had — Period. If you grew up in Metro Detroit eating Buddy’s, Cloverleaf, or Loui’s, you need to try Nikki’s. It’s like stepping back in time to when pizza tasted real — better dough, richer sauce, real cheese, and that perfect corner crunch. Hands down the best square pizza I’ve had in 50 years of eating Detroit pizza. ⸻ Full Review: I’ve been eating pizza all over Metro Detroit for half a century — Buddy’s, Cloverleaf, Loui’s, Shield’s, you name it. I finally tried Nikki’s Pizza in Detroit, and honestly, it’s the best square pizza I’ve ever had. It reminded me of how pizza used to taste when I was a kid — before everyone started cutting corners with cheaper ingredients. The dough is exceptional: soft inside with a beautifully crisp, buttery crust. The sauce has that old-school depth and balance — not too sweet, not too salty, just perfectly seasoned. The cheese tastes real, rich, and properly melted into the corners the way it should. It’s like Cloverleaf but upgraded — better crust, better sauce, better cheese. You can tell there’s pride behind it. Nikki’s somehow brought back the taste I’ve been missing for decades. If you grew up on real Detroit-style pizza, go try it. It’s the closest thing I’ve found to time travel.

One of the best experiences I’ve had in a long time. Everything tasted absolutely amazing, but the real standout was the staff. Taylor and Alecia—no joke—made my entire night. Their kindness, especially so late in the evening, was genuinely remarkable. They turned a good visit into an unforgettable one and will fully plan on returning.

I visited Detroit for the first time on Tuesday 9/2. I wanted to try a Detroit Style pizza for the first time. Went to Niki’s after doing some searching (and also this was the only one of the big names that popped up open on a Tuesday which surprised me). I can’t speak for the rest of the Greek menu, but we ordered a small 1/2 Mediterranean 1/2 Cheese and it was super delicious! I’m a New Yorker born and raised. While I will never say this dethrones NY style, I will definitely say this is so much better than Chicago deep dish and it has made me start looking up where I can get Detroit style local to me. Though I can’t imagine it’ll be anywhere as good as this was.

Went for lunch with my coworker - it was pretty filled up by 1pm but there was only 1 server working the whole floor. Several tables were busted but not clean so it while to find a clean seat. Despite that she took care of us pretty well and food came out quick enough. I ordered 1 slice with side Greek (very yummy sauce, thick Detroit style pizza) and she ordered the gyro plate. As you can see very generous servings.
